Maid service for household work

The concept of engaging maid servants for domestic work,is age old.From the time of Maharajas (Kings)to jameendars(Landlords) and elite class of the society,there was a practice of having a number of servants who used to do all the domestic work.They used to be very faithful and loyal to their masters.They used to do whatever work assigned to them with honesty and sincerity.The Maharajas and jameendars also used to be very kind hearted and generous towards them.They used to treat them well.On festivals they used to give them Clothes, Sweetmeats and gifts.When they bring home new harvest they used to give some of it generously to these people.This used to be the social system those days.Of course very rarely few people used to exploit them. But mostly there was mutual trust and understanding between them.With the passage of time,kings and jameendars have gone,lot of changes took place in the life style of people,educated and working middle class in the society increased in number,some migrated to different parts of the world for employment and business and few remained in their motherland.But the practice of depending on maids for household woork continued. Over a long period they used to get quality in service from the domestic helpers. Gradually,demand for higher pay ,less working time , more comforts and more tips increased and the quality of woork deteriorated.Elderly people,middle class and a;most all the sections of the society inevitably depend on domestic help.Taking advantage of this ,troubling people,poor quality of work,sudden absence without notice ,taking more advances and so on are the ways they are using ,which are causing biggest problem for most of the households especially working women. The reason may be lot of freebies they are getting from Govrnments in the name of welfare schemes,only to increase their vote bank.Certainly the Governments have to uplift the weaker sections of the society,but not by distributing public money freely.It only leads to lazyness and no producrivity.A day will come when ,this becomes an overburden on the exchequer.Instead some productive work should be assignned to them and let them be paid accordingly.An awareness should be created that nothing can be expected free of cost.Let everybody realiize that hard work only gets rewarded.Otherwise it becomes a greatest social problem ,where few people's productivity has to support larger section of the society. On the other hand strict measures should be taken to control the population of this section of people who get freebies from generations and generations'What is more important is using our man power for productive purpose and not to encourage laziness.Then only the nation prospers.Fair work fair pay is the guiding principle for economic prosperity.At the same time the practice of taking the services of domestic helpers should be reduced as far as possible.Household work should shared by all the members of the family .Now a days many gadges are availble for all the household work.One should enjoy doing one's own work.Especially those who are healthy and fit,it is not fair to depend on others for their own work.Working keeps us in good health and active. This may change our life style and solve many problems,though it is most unwelcome by many people who depend on maids for all the domestic work.
